Welcome
to the MG Car Club of Toronto website. Please allow us to take this
opportunity to show you what we are all about and what makes this club
unique.
The MGCCT was founded in 1955, and in 2005 we celebrated 50 years of
continuous enjoyment of our MG's with some long established traditions
and some new and exciting events. In it's fifty plus years the club has
evolved from an owners group into a vibrant social club catering to
all, with a firm grounding in our automotive history.
Each of our members receives the "OCTAGON", our quarterly issued
magazine, which keeps everyone current to events and news in the MG
world. We are very proud of our newsletter, The Octagon, which in 2007
was recognized as newsletter of the year by The North American MGB
Register. In addition to the magazine, we meet socially on the second
Tuesday of every month. During the non-MGing time of the year (winter)
these meetings are held at the Toronto Aerospace Museum, Downsview
Park, 65
Carl Hall Road, Toronto, and consist of tech sessions or guest speakers
highlighting areas of interest to the club. Driving season sees the
members enjoying rallies, weekend cruises, car shows and other social
events. Each summer we have our "Tyre Kicker" for members to show off
their Little British Jewels. This is a fun filled evening barbeque
social that all members are encouraged to attend. Please make plans to
join in on the fun with us.
See everything the club is up to by clicking on the Events Calendar on
our website. It is updated to show all sorts of classic car events that
the MGCCT will be participating in. Or for up to the minute
information, call the club hotline at 416-410-5464 to hear the latest
club news.
If you own an MG or have an interest in Britain's most popular sports
car, please feel free to join us for a meeting or a drive. We look
forward to chatting with everyone who shares a common love for old
British cars, so come around and check things out. In the meantime,
surf through the site and drop us a line and let us know what you think.
