2013 is the 60 th Anniversary of the MG TF. Launched
at London's October 1953 Motor Show, the MG TF was meant merely as an interim model until the MGA was ready to be
released. Upon its introduction, the TF was critiqued as being old fashioned in a modern world, however, despite its
critics, the MG TF went on to become a very desirable car in collector and sport car enthusiast markets. Production
ended in 1955 after 9,602 TFs had been manufactured. Also launched at the same show was the MG Magnette ZA,
the first monocoque car to bear the MG badge and the first MG to use the 'B' Series engine. The ZA also became MG's
fastest selling Saloon ever. The Magnette ZA was replaced by the improved ZB in 1956.
